When is the best time to try on a ring?
- Afternoon or evening: Your fingers are usually at their "normal" size then. In the morning, they are often a little slimmer, as fluid has distributed overnight.
Tips for trying on rings
- Avoid extreme heat or cold – warm fingers can swell, cold fingers tend to be slimmer.
- Not immediately after exercise – Physical activity can temporarily swell fingers.
- Not with strong fluid retention – For example, after salty food or alcohol consumption – this can make fingers thicker.
- Relaxed and calm – Stress can also affect blood circulation and thus finger size.
